Dr.Dana Distler was raised in Lexington Kentucky...the daughter of two professors at the University of Kentucky. After completing her undergraduate in Behavioral Psychology, she attended the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. She completed her internship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and went on to complete her Pediatric Residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Dr. Distler has served her local Pediatric community through numerous committees at Kosair Children’s Hospital including the Medical Executive Committee, Governance Committee, and as President of the Medical House-Staff. Her areas of interest include behavioral psychology, adolescent medicine and dermatology. She is married to Dr. Mark Distler and is the proud mother of three children-including twins. She loves being a clinical instructor for several colleges and universities; and her hobbies include training and working with therapy dogs, cooking, tent camping, playing the piano, skiing and hiking. |
Dr.Mark Distler is a native of Louisville where he was raised as one of four boys; three went to St. X and the other to Trinity. He attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry and philosophy. He received his medical degree from U of L and went on to complete his Pediatric Residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital. He was recognized with the Pediatric Cardiology Award and also served as Chief Resident. His love of nature is exemplified through his acquisition and subsequent donation of Kentucky woodlands into a conservation easement thus protecting this forest from any future development. His passion for the environment is manifested in his collaboration with an environmental architect in designing a completely "off grid" solar lake house. He is married to Dr. Dana Distler and they have three children, an older girl and a set of boy-girl twins. He loves basketball, both playing (before twins) and watching (after twins), and is a die-hard Cardinal fan. |

Rachel Kiger-Raque is a Family Nurse Practitioner that completed her clinical rotation for Pediatrics with Dr Mark and came to love the patients and staff of Middletown Pediatrics during this rotation. Rachel was raised in Charleston, WV. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Charleston. She started her work in pediatrics at Charleston Area Medical Center Women's and Children's Hospital as a nurse in the Emergency Room and worked there for 8 years. She moved to Louisville in 2012 and has worked at Baptist Health Emergency Room and Hosparus Health. Her passion is caring for pediatric patients and supporting their families in their growth as well as their mental and physical health. She lives with her husband in Mt Washington and is a dog mom to Mr Darcy and Rambo. She enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews and she and her husband enjoy travelling and spending time outdoors. They are also Harry Potter superfans! |
